Once again, professional tasters choose a wine from Bodegas el Inicio
The SAKURA JAPAN WOMEN’S WINE AWARDS in Tokyo, the most international wine competition in Japan, have just been announced. And again the news is very good for Bodegas el Inicio. If in the penultimate edition this winery that produces wines with the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin achieved the highest award for Rivendel Crianza, now it is the author wine Admiración Selección Especial that has won a Gold medal.
The tasting has been developed in the month of April. It has proven that it is one of the most sampled Japanese dates from all over the world. On this occasion, 4,652 samples from 25 countries have been presented. As for the tasters, these were 430 professionals.
On May 30, the awards ceremony will take place in the city of Tokyo. “This year, we will hold an award ceremony that we haven’t been able to hold for the past 2 years,” explains SAKURA AWARDS president Yumi Tanabe. She will be the person who will present the winners with the trophy plate made with traditional Kiso lacquer.
Thus, an international event whose purpose is to improve knowledge about wine by Japanese consumers, also proposing its pairing with Japanese cuisine, will come to an end, reflecting a constant increase in sales of quality wines in the very demanding Japanese market.
